English as a Second Language, or ESL, classes provide instruction to adults whose native language is not English. ESL classes are taught from the pre-literacy / beginner level through the advanced levels. Students learn English speaking, listening, writing and grammar skills. Emphasis is placed on language used in the workplace and the community. Classes are held at Millington Elementary School and other locations.
Enrollment is open and on-going. Our classes open to anyone who would like to improve his/her reading and writing skills, or those who are working towards taking their GED exam. New students are welcome to come and join our classes at anytime. Our teachers will meet with you, assess your needs and prepare a program of study based upon your goals and your needs. Classes are conducted in an open classroom environment, with both group and individual study taking place.
